NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A magistrate on Thursday denied bail to two Americans accused of illegally operating sports fishing charters and drug possession with intent to supply.

Prosecutors say Matt Blodgett, 45, and Isfrain Ferreiro Jr, 30, both of Florida, operated 17 illegal charters on the vessel Rayne Check between March 23, 2024 and January 12, 2026.

The men were allegedly found with three marijuana vape pens when they were arrested at Blackpoint, Exuma this week.

The accused were not required to enter pleas to the charges when they appeared before Senior Magistrate Raquel Whymms.

The matter was adjourned to April 24 for the presentation of a voluntary bill of indictment.
