GUYANA – Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne has called for the resignation of Haiti’s interim leader, Dr. Ariel Henry during the 46th regular summit of regional leaders in Guyana.

Browne says his resignation may facilitate efforts aimed at resolving Haiti’s socio-economic and political crisis, suggesting Henry’s involvement may be perceived as an attempt to maintain power, hindering efforts to address Haiti’s challenges effectively.

In a telephone interview with the Caribbean media corporation (cmc), Browne said he remained optimistic about the summit’s outcomes, emphasizing the importance of a successful mission in restoring peace and prosperity to the Haitian people.
