ANTIGUA – Antigua and Barbuda will welcome its citizens deported under President Trump’s mass deportation plan, Prime Minister Gaston Browne confirmed.

Speaking in Panama recently, Browne told loop news the country has a legal obligation to accept Antiguans, even those in the U.S. illegally and will work to reintegrate them.

While some activists urge Caribbean nations to reject deportation flights, Browne said he disagrees, saying officials “have no moral or legal basis” to refuse their own citizens.
