CANADA – As the United Kingdom prepares for the coronation of King Charles III, his ascension to the throne is being met with ‘ambivalence’ in Canada – the largest commonwealth nation.

This as experts say calls to break with UK monarchy continue as the plans are being met with a collective shrug in the North American country of about 38 million people.

In April, the Angus Reid Institute found that three in five people in Canada were against recognising his reign.
