NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police nabbed a suspect in an attempted murder when they allegedly seized five guns following a high-speed chase last week.

Arizona Rolle, 26, stood before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt in relation to the April 9, 2022 attempted murder of Javonne Saunders.

Prosecutors say Rolle shot Saunders in the shoulder after she had a row with Nashante Hall outside a bar on Village Road.

Hall, who is accused of inciting the shooting, was previously charged with abetment to attempted murder and is on bail.

Rolle was denied bail for the attempted murder and returns to court next April.

Meanwhile, Rolle and Malik Strachan, 26, are accused of having guns and drugs with intent to supply and ammunition.

Prosecutors say the pair had five firearms—a 327 revolver and five pistols—with the intent to supply and 11 rounds of 327 ammunition on December 2.

They are also accused of  having 2.4 pounds of marijuana on the same date.

They pleaded not guilty and their bail hearing was set for December 20.

Police were on patrol on John F Kennedy Drive when they came across a heavily-tinted Cadillac that was being driven recklessly.

Police said the driver refused to stop and led them on a chase that ended on Atlantic Drive in Westridge Estates.

The officers allegedly recovered the contraband while searching the car.
