Attorney General Reveals Two-Factor Criteria for Executions Amidst Rising Calls

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – With the last execution in The Bahamas over 20 years ago, The Attorney General is outlining what requirements need to be met to carry out legal executions along with what makes it so difficult.

Capital punishment, a topic that has dominated headlines and barbershop conversations.

With 14 murders just 18 days into the New Year, many are calling for it to return since it’s technically on the  books.

Attorney General Ryan Pinder K.C. says Capital Punishment can only be carried out if two requirements are met.

The last execution in The Bahamas was on January 6, 2000 at the Fox Hill Prison.

According to an Our News Social media poll, 79% of respondents on Instagram are in favor of capital punishment while 88% of our Facebook respondents also agree, and 56% of people who answered on Twitter are also on board with capital punishment.
