The Bahamas Real Estate Association puts its full support behind housing minister Jobeth Coleby-Davis who announced her ministry’s ambitious goal of building 1,600 homes during this term in office.

Bahamas Real Estate Association President Christine Wallace-Whitfield is applauding the Davis administration’s ambitious goal to build 1,600 homes for Bahamian families.

She was responding to a recent announcement by Housing Minister Jobeth Colby-Davis, who said she is aiming to build 1600 homes during her term – more than any other housing minister.

Work is underway for a 43-home development in South Beach. They will be valued at between $167,000 and $182,000. Developments are also planned for the Fire Trail and Dignity Gardens Subdivisions. Wallace-Whitfield explained the impact this could have on the real estate industry.

The real estate association president offered the assistance of a BREA-licensed real estate agent in the event the government needs help finding land for hundreds of homes.
