ALLURE OF THE SEAS – The power of connections. That was the focus for the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce’s recent power brunch aboard the Allure of the Seas.

Dozens of entrepreneurs and business professionals boarded one of the world’s largest cruise ships on Friday, to connect, network and listen to some of the brightest minds in the tourism industry.

Our Joshua Williams was aboard the ship and has this report.

It’s a partnership between the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Royal Caribbean.

Stakeholders and professionals in the business and tourism world, taking part in key discussions and networking opportunities.

RCG’s regional vice president for government relations Caribbean Wendy McDonald says it’s important for stakeholders that have the same vision to come together.

“Since becoming a member in 2023 we have had valued the opportunity to engage with leaders across the industry learned from one another and contribute to conversations about the future of this country”

One such conversation happening during Friday’s power brunch during a panel of tourism business owners like Naomi Lydia, who says strengthened connections in the industry are vital for survival and growth.

“I live and breathe that it’s something I stand by 100% understanding that we’re stronger together the only way we can grow consistently if we gonna be stronger is get back to the basics we have to understand that we have to stand together as one.”

And for Tourism Parliamentary Secretary, Randy Rolle, it’s all about improving the product that is The Bahamas.

“For us the most important persons in the room are the Bahamians that are here. We want to make sure you get the greatest opportunity possible this is the best little country in the whole world and we want the world to understand and appreciate that “
