NASSAU, BAHAMAS – On Saturday the Bahamas eSports Federation hosted their first gamers tournament “Crush Counter Showdown” powered by ALIVFibr.

Held at Club Crush at the Atlantis Resort, both local and international gamers battled it out in the games of Tekkin or Street Fighter for more than $8,000 in cash and prizes.

With a global audience of over 540 million,  it is predicted that esports could make it’s debut at the 2030 Olympics.

Founder and President of the Bahamas eSports Federation Club Michael Armogan said the  sport can stimulate the economy through  job creation and tourism.

The tournament officially began at 5pm and ended at 3am with three gamers coming out victorious.
