ATHENS, GREECE – It wasn’t the result Team Bahamas wanted, falling 93-80 to Montenegro but there were some good things the team saw out of the young players.

The youth movement led the way for Team Bahamas but they came up just short in their debut at the Acropolis Tournament here in Athens, Greece.

Franco Miller Jr. led four Bahamians in double figures with 20 points, AJ Storr scored 15, while DeAndre Ayton and VJ Edgecombe both finished with 11.

The Bahamas was in control for much of the first half and built a 13-point lead before they took a 43-35 lead at the break.

Montenegro opened the third on a 15-3 to take the lead for good and went on to outscore The Bahamas 58-37 in the second half.

It’s a quick turnaround for Team Bahamas as they take on number 14  Greece Thursday afternoon at 1pm Eastern.
