SANTO DOMINGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – The Bahamas looked like the team to beat all week and advanced to the next stage of the Jr. Davis Cup qualification process.
The Bahamas defeated Trinidad and Tobago two matches to none in Friday’s final at the pre-qualifier in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic.
Jerald Carroll continued his undefeated streak and won 6-2, 7-6 over Bjorn hall. Jackson Mactaggart closed out the tie with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Kalle Dalla Costa.
The Bahamas defeated Puerto Rico and Aruba in group play before moving on to defeat Costa Rica and Guatemala in the playoffs.

Five star recruit VJ Edgecombe added his second All-American honor, he closes out his final season of prep basketball.
Edgecombe was named a Jordan brand all-American, and will compete in the star-studded invitational, April 15 in Chicago, Illinois.
The Baylor commit continues to impress the biggest names in Bahamian basketball.
Syracuse commit Donovan Freeman was also selected to the Jordan brand all-American list.
Edgecombe and Freeman join Deandre Ayton and Lashann Higgs as the only other Bahamians selected as Jordan brand all-Americans.
GSSSA Track and Field
When you talk about dominant programs in the country, C.H. Reeves track and field has to be in the conversation.
The Raptors won their fourth straight title with 891 points, 383 points ahead of the second-place S.C. McPherson Sharks who finished with 508 points. The H.O. Nash Lions were third with 490 points.
C.H. Reeves was dominant both on the track and in the field on day 2. They won 5 out of 6 4x400m relays to close out the event.
