NASSAU, BAHAMAS – She’s a Bahamian living in the United States and coaching a power-five university women’s basketball team. She recently got a major extension on her contract and is in The Bahamas with her team for Baha Mar Hoops.

Coach Yolett McCuin, affectionately known as Coach Yo, has basketball running through her veins.

She’s the daughter of legendary coach – Gladstone “Moon” McPhee.

Coach Yo is in The Bahamas this week with her power-five Ole Miss Women’s Basketball Team.

Our News had the opportunity to sit down with Coach Yo following one of her team’s morning shoot arounds.

Ole Miss will square off against the Dayton Women’s Basketball Team at 8PM tonight at the Baha Mar Convention Center. They’ll play again on Wednesday against the University of Utah.

Coach Yo shared her candid views on sports in The Bahamas, particularly basketball, and the development of sports programmes in the country.
