KUWAIT – A Bahamian teacher living in Kuwait is speaking out as tensions continue to escalate across the Middle East, with missile alerts and heightened security becoming part of daily life.

Keva Williams, who has lived and worked in Kuwait for nearly a decade, says while the situation is serious, it is not as extreme as some reports suggest.

Williams says the recent conflict has brought uncertainty, with sirens and alerts — even late at night — disrupting normal routines. Despite that, she says there have been no direct strikes in her immediate area.

She credits her support system for helping her cope, saying she stays connected with friends and relies on her faith during difficult moments.

While the Bahamian government has indicated it is ready to assist citizens who wish to return home, Williams says she feels safe for now and remains committed to her students.

She also reassured loved ones back home that she is doing well and staying strong despite the circumstances.
