Bahamian Wins 9-Ball Challenge in Florida

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Dakarai Turnquest has won the 9-ball challenge at the prestigious West Coast Challenge in Orlando, Florida.

He is now the only Bahamian to ever win the 9-ball challenge at a major international pool tournament, and at just 16, is the youngest person to ever win this particular tournament which is sanctioned by the Valley National 8-Ball League Association (VNEA) and is a qualifier for the World Championships. 

The Long Islander also finished third in the 8-ball challenge.

Dakarai will return to The Bahamas via the Lynden Pindling International Airport Sunday afternoon.
