NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Comrade Vernon Pinder is the only registered Bahamian World War II veteran and was honored in grand style today. He says since he came out the service in 1945, this is the first time something like this has happened to him. Pinder, who is blind, says his only wish was that he was able to see the fanfare.
