Bahamians Continue to Lease Land in Some Unregulated Communities

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Based on the Ministry of Works’ intel, some Bahamians are leasing land in some irregular communities, on island including Andros.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Based on the Ministry of Works’ intel, some Bahamians are leasing land in some irregular communities, on island including Andros.

Works Minister Alfred Sears says the inter-ministerial committee on shantytowns will focus on squatting on government, private and commonage land and transition those people into proper housing or deportation if they are undocumented.
