The New York Yankees took the first two wins over the Kansas City Royals, but it’s been a tough Series for Jazz Chisholm Jr, leaving some possible injury concerns headed into the weekend.

In game one, Chisholm left in the seventh inning after suffering neck tightness following a hard collision with royals third baseman Maikel Garcia.

That incident also resulted in a bloody thumb. The Yankees won 10-2.

In game two in a Yankees a 6-3  win, Chisholm exited the game in the  fifth inning due to left groin tightness while stretching at third base.

Manager Aaron Boone has described the situation as “optimistic.”

Chisholm returned to the lineup on June 3, after he missed about a month (since April 29) with a right oblique strain.
