NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man is behind bars after prosecutors say he held up a jewelry store last month.

Prosecutors say 31-year-old Adam Newbold, and an accomplice, held up Jewelry And Watch Discount on February 25 and made off with $2,400 cash and jewelry valued at $11,000.

Newbold didn’t have to enter a plea when he stood before Acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.

Bail was denied and the matter was adjourned to August 6 for presentation of voluntary bill of indictment papers.
