NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Men and women co-ed teams from Scotiabank, RBC, Central Bank, The Outsiders and the Gremlins Softball Club came together in the spirit of competition and camaraderie to honor their fallen friend Sam Haven.

Haven, aside from being one of the better soccer players The Bahamas produced, was also a founding member of the Bankers’ Softball League.

The memorial took place before the Outsiders and Scotiabank matchup.

After Haven’s daughter and brother gave opening remarks and his wife threw out the first pitch, the teams took the field, with the Outsiders defeating Scotiabank 16-7.

Vashawna Bastian was named women’s MVP, while Eric Johnson earned MVP honors for the winning team.
