BASRA North Keeping GB Beaches Clean And Pristine

The Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association, in collaboration with several local partners recently launched an ongoing beach cleanup program aimed at protecting and preserving the country’s environment.

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – 
The Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association, in collaboration with several local partners recently launched an ongoing beach cleanup program aimed at protecting and preserving the country’s environment.

The initiative will focus on cleaning one beach each month across Grand Bahama, the first clean up took place on Barbary beach.

President of BASRA North, Adam Miller, emphasized the program’s mission. He says it’s all about educating the community and coming together to make a difference.

Captain Daniel Murray says keeping the beaches clean are important.

Chairperson of the Keep Grand Bahama Clean Committee of the Grand Bahama Port Authority is one of the partners with BASRA.

Founder of Earth Care Bahamas, Gail Woon says it’s dangerous for plastics to be in the water.
