NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Outspoken Bahamas Union of Teachers President Belinda Wilson securing her sixth consecutive win at the polls to lead the union forward.

This makes her the longest-serving President and Executive in the union’s history.

Wilson and the “A team” won 13 out of 15 posts.

She says she is grateful for the stamp of approval by members.

As for the years long negotiation of its newly signed agreement, Wilson says her team intends to get the ball rolling on its next industrial agreement before the existing one expires.

Wilson says the union is also preparing to open a new multi-million dollar complex that’s completed within the next three months.

Additionally, she says the union will focus on training for officer elected for the first time to ensure they are equipped to take the union forward after this term.
