NASSAU, BAHAMAS – When many think of The Bahamas National Youth Choir, they think of the legacy of Cleophas Adderley, the choir’s founder and long-time director up to his passing in 2017.

Forty years after it formed, the choir is going strong, having performed all over the world and for so many.

Choir Director Dexter Fernander speaks to its decades of musical mastery.

Alumni members Anton Smith and Nicolasena Davis share why they had to be a part of the 40th celebrations.

I also spoke to current member Vivian Minnis and alumna Latoya Hanna-Moxey.

And we asked Fernander how he thinks Cleophas Adderley would feel if he were still alive.

Events throughout the week include a church service on Sunday, a talent search night, happy hour, culminating with a Gala Event on October 7 at Baha Mar.
