NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Public Service Union is threatening industrial action, this time at the Public Hospitals Authority.

Union president Kimsley Ferguson says employees there are still waiting for payouts negotiated in the recent industrial agreement.

Ferguson says that agreement is valued at about $10 million.

The PHA and the government signed the industrial agreement in late January.

Ferguson says the reason for the delay in the payments hasn’t been communicated.

He says he spoke to the prime minister who gave the assurance that the money will be paid out.
