NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Brazilian man has been jailed for four years after admitting to smuggling $10m worth of cocaine.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Brazilian man has been jailed for four years after admitting to smuggling $10m worth of cocaine.
Andre Acosta, who’s been in custody since 2023, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess dangerous drugs with intent to supply, possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply, conspiracy to import dangerous drugs and importation of dangerous drugs when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.
Police seized 21 cocaine-filled crocus sacks when they searched a white Piper Aztec plane at Stella Maris, Long Island, in August 2023.
