NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas National Breastfeeding Association supports introducing longer maternity leave in The Bahamas in a push midwife and registered nurse Anna Forbes says will support both mother and child.

Maternity leave in The Bahamas is currently 13 weeks, but Forbes and the association would like to see that pushed to 20 weeks, and a move toward a more ‘baby-friendly’ public hospital.
