NASSAU, BAHAMAS – With officials keeping a close eye on Tropical Storm Bret, the British Royal Navy is deploying its hurricane ship to the region.

While Bret may not be of concern for The Bahamas yet, British High Commissioner Thomas Hartley tells us they’re already keeping a close eye on the tropics.

This is British High Commissioner Thomas Hartley’s first hurricane season in The Bahamas.

And with Tropical Storm Bret brewing in the Atlantic, he tells they’re already preparing.

The Royal Navy was the first international aid on the ground post-Hurricane Dorian.

The high commissioner says whenever possible, the Royal Navy will be there to help.

As we head deeper into the hurricane season, Hartley leaves us with this advice.
