BTC Contractual Workers Request Meeting with CEO
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A number of longstanding issues are topping the list of concerns for contractual workers at the Bahamas Telecommunications Company.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A number of longstanding issues are topping the list of concerns for contractual workers at the Bahamas Telecommunications Company.
During a press conference, Tuesday, the workers said they have been requesting a meeting with the company’s CEO since November 10, 2022, but to no avail.
The employees allege that benefits within their contract were removed, which would have allowed them receive bonuses. In addition, the workers say most of them use their own vehicles to conduct their work.
However, they say these unresolved issues are not unique to the company’s current CEO.
