NASSAU, BAHAMAS – BTVI President Dr. Linda Davis says she’s excited for the new school year that started on Monday.

Dr. Davis says this year the  institute is seeing significant growth in both applications and enrollments.

According to Davis, BTVI is nearing a total of 3,000 students, with 1,500 enrolled at the Soldier Road Campus in New Providence, 500 at the Grand Bahama campus, and the remaining students spread across the Family Islands.

Davis describes the numbers as proof there’s a rise in interest in technical and vocational education, with several programs now operating at or near full capacity.

And on the topic of  expansion, there are also infrastructural upgrades, like an inter-American Development Bank-funded solar project.
