Hield Goes off Against The Hornets

INDIANAPOLIS, USA – Buddy Hield went off to the tune of 25 points as his Indiana Pacers coasted to an easy win against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night 144 to 113.

The Grand Bahama-born sharpshooter got his points on 8 of 13 shooting including making 4 of his 8 three-point attempts. He added 4 rebounds, 3 assists a steal and a curious 3 blocks to round out his statline in an absurdly low 26 minutes of play.

The Hornets hung around for most of the first half before the Pacers managed to establish a 10-point lead heading into halftime. However, the Pacers turned on the jets in the 2nd half, never letting the Hornets back in.

Usually, the Pacers player to put up ridiculous stat lines, point guard Tyrese Haliburton took a backseat to Buddy in this one, scoring 19 points, though he did manage to dish out 13 assists.

The win was a much-needed one for Buddy and the gang as they seemed to be in somewhat of a funk since their in-season tournament finals loss to The Lakers last week, losing 4-straight games before this one.

Up next for them is a Memphis Grizzlies squad rejuvenated by the return of lightning-rod point guard Ja Morant.

They’ll play the Grizz tomorrow night in Memphis.
