U.S.A. – Bahamas National Team veteran player Jaraun “Kino” Burrows continues to grow the game, this time from the sideline.

Burrows attended the 2025 USA Basketball Coach Academy in New York, joining a group of elite Coaches and educators for two days of development and networking.

The event featured presentations from some of the most respected names in the game including former NBA coach Stan Van Gundy, Hall of Famer Bob Hurley, and ten-time gold medal winner Don Showalter. 

Topics ranged from attacking zone defenses and improving player decision-making to developing Team culture and communication.

For Burrows, it was a chance to bridge his perspective as a longtime player with his emerging role as a coach. 

The former national team captain said the experience reinforced the importance of teaching fundamentals and building culture, both on and off the court.

NBA

If the first few nights are any indication, the western conference is going to be an absolute war. Buddy Hield and the Golden State Warriors hope to be in the mix.

Hield scored 11 and the Warriors came from beating to beat the Denver Nuggets 137-131 in overtime.  

The Warriors have a quick turn around as they take on the Trail Blazers tonight at 10 pm.

MLB

Jazz Chisholm Jr has another shot at some postseason hardware.

Louisville slugger announced the finalists for the 2025 Silver Slugger Awards which honors the best offensive players in major league baseball.

Chisholm, the New York Yankees all-star second baseman was a finalist for the position in the American League, joined by Brandon Lowe of the Tampa Bay Rays and Jorge Polanco of the Seattle Mariners.

Winners are selected by major league managers and coaches based on a player’s offensive production.

Chisholm finished with 31 home runs, 32 stolen bases, 80 RBIs, an .813 ops and get this, a batting average of .242.
