GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Business owners get an opportunity to learn more about how to grow their businesses during the Emerge Grand Bahama Small Business Symposium. The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Access Accelerator, The Bahamas Development Bank and the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce all partnering to put on the event.

Attendees were given key advice from leaders throughout the community. President of the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce, James Carey tells the group to not wait for opportunities but to create them. He was one of the event’s featured speakers. 

President of the Grand Bahama Port Authority Ian Rolle says many new businesses have formed during the Covid-19 pandemic adding that small businesses keep the economy moving.

Minister of Economic Affairs Michael Halkitis also brought brief remarks.

He says the country’s revenue is up as a result of the recovering economy and says government is constantly seeking ways to support businesses.
