NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Investigations continue into the failed suspected human smuggling incident last Sunday. Leaders from key agencies giving an update at the office of the prime minister’s weekly press briefing.

The police commissioner revealing they are now investigating what they believe is a major smuggling operation.

His comments comes days after seventeen people died during an alleged failed smuggling ring.The commissioner says one of the victims was pregnant.

Director of Immigration Keturah Ferguson says two of the people involved in the tragedy had no status in The Bahamas.

And, that’s not all. And, as for the survivors who suffered severe illnesses and injuries due to the tragedy?
