Cable Bahamas Tech and Engineering Team Up To Read to Students

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – September is Literacy Month, and students at E.P. Roberts Primary School got a special treat as members of the Cable Bahamas engineering and tech teams  banded together to read to students.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – September is Literacy Month, and students at E.P. Roberts Primary School got a special treat as members of the Cable Bahamas engineering and tech teams  banded together to read to students.

Kids at E.P. Roberts Primary School were surprised as the school was gifted new books, school supplies and even a new microwave thanks to the initiative.

Cable Bahamas’ Network Engineer Torian Neymour says it was a team effort.

Each of E.P. Roberts Primary’s 18 classes from grade one through six had someone read to them.

Audrea Smith-Lewis Is the school’s principal. She says it  was an exciting day for students and staff.

Smith-Lewis tells us the mAle volunteers were especially impactful.

And you don’t just have to take my word for it, the students excitement is contagious.
