CANTO Celebrates 40 Years of Innovation and Digital Advancement

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – ALIV CEO and member of the CANTO Board of Directors John Gomez, greeted a packed room of attendees at the official opening of CANTO’s 40th Conference and Trade Show on Sunday night.

The wildly popular event was held in the Andros Ballroom at Baha Mar.

Gomez was one of several speakers for the night.

Also in attendance was Prime Minister Philip Davis, Prime Minister of Grenada Dickon Mitchell, regional dignitaries, leaders of the canto organization, and hundreds of attendees from around the world. 

The theme for this year’s conference is… “Towards A Unified and Sustainable Caribbean Gigabit Society.”  

CANTO Chairman Delreo Newman highlighting why it not only speaks to the future but also demands that we shape it. 

Ending the evening’s program was featured speaker Prime Minister Davis, who gave this charge.

Following the opening ceremony, the evening’s celebrations continued with Junkanoo and a welcome reception. 

The CANTO Conference will continue with daily sessions over the next three days, coming to a close on Wednesday.

On the agenda for discussion over the next few days are high-speed connectivity, cutting-edge innovation and keeping the region up to date with the latest advances in technology.
