NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The CARIFTA Games are set to be held in The Bahamas next year and will coincide with the country’s 50th Independence anniversary celebrations.

It will be the 50th time that the CARIFTA Games are being held and the ninth time that The Bahamas has hosted the regional sporting event.

During the official launch earlier this week, CEO of the local organising committee for the CARFITA Games Lynden Maycock shared where the athletes village will be and its price tag.

Bahamas Amateur Athletic Association President Drumeco Archer, during the launch this week, adding that a talent search is ongoing to ensure that we have the best team possible for the games.
