NASSAU, BAHAMAS – “I was at the bar with my bar tenders employees talking about the evenings that coming up and the Super Bowl Party that we’re going to have and I heard and I heard some screaming over by the marina and then the next thing I knew I saw my manager Daryl Bain jump into the pier and jump into the water with his clothes on to save a young man’s life who was drowning,” says Daryl Bain, Carnivale Manager

That was the scene that unfolded on Saturday at Hurricane Hole Mariana, as the Guest floated in the marina, Daryl sprang into action.

“I went underneath you know you have to be a quick thinker you know he’s bleeding you know this is a marina so a lot of stuff is in there so I put him up on my shoulder Wayne Elliot my bartender shout out to Wayne Elliot just pulled him up played him on the side you know bring him to,” says Bain

As Daryl and Wayne worked to resuscitate the victim, the restaurant’s owner went to the police station and told another staffer to call an ambulance.

Daryl is now being called a hero, but he says he was simply doing the right thing.

“I don’t know something just striked me and I went in and saved a person that’s all,” says Bain
