NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Seven political parties in the African country of CHAD are now suspended from all political activities a day after unprecented protests left 60 people dead and hundreds injured. 

The government cracked down on prominent opposition leader “Success Marsa” included a search of his office. 

He tweeted that his party’s national headquarters was being ransacked by security forces who forced their way in. 

His party was among the first suspended by CHAD’s government for 3 months. Demonstrations in the capital and several other cities broke out Thursday in protest against the interim leader extending his time in power by more than two years.
