Charges Upgraded for Valentine’s Day Murder Case

NASSAU, BAHAMAS -Charges have been upgraded against a man accused of a double shooting through Key West Street on Valentine’s Day. 

Eighteen-year-old Antwan Adderley initially faced murder and attempted murder charges following a drive-by shooting that left Gordon McKenzie dead and Ingramson Toussaint injured.

Police said the victims were sitting in a yard on Key West Street when two gunmen opened fire on them.

However, Toussaint died in hospital on March 6, a week after Adderley was first charged.

Adderley now faces two counts of murder.Adderley was not required to enter pleas to the upgraded charges when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.

He remains on remand at the prison.
