Walcott Makes Fall League Debut

Sebastian Walcott is back in the Arizona Fall League and already making an impact.

The Texas Tangers’ top prospect made his 2026 debut for the Surprise Saguaros, going 2-3 with two RBI, a run scored and a walk in a 6-4 win over the Salt River Rafters.

Walcott also returned to shortstop, his natural position, after missing most of the minor league season following elbow surgery.

The 20-year-old finished his regular season with a .329 average, 10 home runs, 14 doubles and 12 stolen bases in just 39 games.

The Rangers plan to use Walcott at shortstop two or three times per week in the fall league as he continues to build back his workload.

After playing just one game in last year’s fall league because of arm fatigue, Walcott is now back on the field and looking to make up for lost development time.
