NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who mugged a woman in a church parking lot has been jailed for three years and sentenced to three years of probation in a plea deal.

Travis Jean Baptiste pleaded guilty to the armed robbery that took on February 3, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church.

On the day in question, a woman was going to the church to attend a funeral.

Baptiste accosted her while wielding a knife and robbed her of a Samsung S 23 and an iPhone 14.

Baptiste said that he was sorry for what he’d done and he wished he could apologize to his victim personally.
