NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Bahamians Deandre Ayton of the Phoenix Suns and Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors are set to face each other for the first time this season in San Francisco tonight.

This is the season’s first matchup between the two teams, who fought each other to a stalemate last season with each team going 2-2 against the other.

Thompson is having a slow start to the season, averaging 14 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists on 40% shooting and 34% from the 3-point line.

Ayton is averaging 19 points and 8 rebounds per game. Both players are only three games into the young season, so look for these numbers to revert closer to the mean.

The Golden State Warriors are coming off a triumphant 2021-22 season where they went 53-29 and defeated the Boston Celtics in the NBA finals.

The Suns went through the 2021-22 season as a championship favorite with a league-best 64-18 record before being upset by the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference semifinals.

The game starts at 10pm. If you’re in The Bahamas, you can watch it on TSN channel 715.
