Classes In Session for Hundreds of Grand Bahama Students
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – It was a busy morning on the streets of Grand Bahama as many students returned back to the classroom on Monday.
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – It was a busy morning on the streets of Grand Bahama as many students returned back to the classroom on Monday.
Parents could be seen walking their children to class, all eager to start the new academic year.
Over at the St. Georges high school, Principal Bronwen Smith says the theme this year at the school is “Jaguars Ready to Roar!”
And Performing Arts Teacher and St. Georges High School Shaquita Stubbs says her students are excited about the subject.
Her student Azariyah Curry shares her sentiments about her performing arts teacher.
We caught up with this mother of two boys, Latesiha Garland. Her students attend the Bishop Michael Eldon School.
She says she’s happy her kids are back in school.
Raquel Smith, another mother of two says the day is exciting.
As for Grand Bahama parent Ron Darville Jr. whose kids attend Sunland Baptist Academy, he admits preparation was a bit slow for him this year.
