COA Orders Way Forward Valley Boys, Registrar General, And A.G. To Pay Costs

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The World Famous Valley Boys led by Brian Adderley have scored a major legal victory after the Court of Appeal ruled that the Attorney General, the Registrar General and the Trevor Davis led Valley Boys must pay their legal costs.

The decision came in a detailed nine page ruling released this week. In it, Justices Crane Scott, Evans and Hilton explained why the Davis faction and the other respondents must now foot the bill after Adderley’s group successfully secured permission to appeal and extend the time to file their case.

The court ordered that costs be paid to Adderley’s World Famous Valley Boys with the exact amount to be determined once the bill of costs is calculated.

Attorney Christina Galanos says the ruling strengthens their confidence going into the substantive appeal.

The split between the two Valley Boys factions began in 2023 after Davis’ group broke away. Both groups have continued to appear at parades under the same name, causing ongoing public confusion.

In a statement today, the Davis led faction said the ruling relates only to costs and insisted they remain the only group properly authorized to compete on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Galanos says her clients are now preparing their next legal steps as they move toward the full appeal.
