GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – With no fanfare but filled with optimism Terneille Burrows came to the Mount Zion Baptist Church hall just before 10 a.m. to seal her nomination for the upcoming West Grand Bahama and Bimini by-election.

Describing herself as a hummingbird, she says she is committed to the election and representing those most underrepresented throughout the country.

Next up to nominate was the Coalition of Independents leader Lincoln Bain.

Bain was flanked by scores of supporters. He told the press change is not coming but that change is here.

The final candidate to make his way to the nomination hall was Daquan Swain.

Now we asked Parliamentary Registration Department officials about the polling stations and a date for the advanced poll, they confirmed that those will be published shortly.
