Swimming is a unique sports discipline – one that involves the entire mind, body and soul.

It’s a sport where The Bahamas has done well over the years. There’s no doubt the pressure is on this year as the Bahamian swim team is the four-time consecutive CARIFTA champion, with their eyes set on securing a fifth title in Curacao next month.

We caught up with two former CARIFTA swimmers who are both now swimming at the collegiate level.

Kaliyah Albury swims for Howard University in Washington, DC and Lamar Taylor swims for Henderson State University in Arkansas.

With the team heading into the 2023 games as the fourth consecutive champions, Albury says pressure is not an issue.
