Comets Take Junior Titles, Seniors Headed to Game Three

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Queen’s College Comets completed a clean sweep in the junior divisions of the BAISS basketball championships, while both senior series now head to decisive Game 3 matchups.

The junior girls claimed the title with a 33–31 win over the Charles W. Saunders Cougars. Tahjanique Morley earned MVP honors with 19 points.

The junior boys followed with a 39–34 victory over St. Anne’s, led by Kevin Hepburn’s 15 points.

In the senior girls’ final, Kingsway Academy evened the series with a 36–29 win over the Giants, while the Giants responded in the senior boys’ division with a 74–42 win over CW Saunders.

Game 3 in each senior division is set for Wednesday at the Kendal Isaacs Gym.

Moncur earns second conference honor

Howard University freshman swimmer Ayrton Moncur has earned his second Northeast Conference Men’s Rookie of the Week honor after a strong showing against Catholic University.

Moncur reached the podium three times and now ranks fifth in the conference in the 100 individual medley.

Moss delivers career night despite loss

Brent Moss recorded a career-high 32 points for the UTSA Roadrunners in a 109–88 loss to South Florida.

Moss shot 10-for-16 from the field and 7-for-9 from three-point range, marking the highest individual scoring performance by a UTSA player this season.

At Murray State, Fred King led the Racers with 14 points and eight rebounds in an 89–60 loss to Northern Iowa.
