NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It’s been little over a month since flames engulfed the Eljhay Hilltop Community Center, and while the building remains a shell of what it once was, its mission has not ceased.

Despite the destruction, Apostle Laura Taylor and her team have continued to serve the community.

Taylor says the recovery process has been slow, as the clearing of the site only began last week.

Despite the loss of their physical space, the organization continues to serve the community, relying solely on donations.

However, according to Taylor, returning to the site in the aftermath of the fire came with its own challenges.

Additionally, Taylor also faces the challenge of coping with her husbands death, Chief Inspector Peter Taylor, who passed away on February 21st.

Inspector Taylor dedicated 45 years of his life to public service.
