GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – If you’ve been traversing the city of Freeport for the past four weeks, particularly at the junction of Beach Way Drive and East Sunrise Highway, you’ve probably been frustrated by an out of service traffic light.

A top exec from the local power company, is asking the public for continued patience.

He says what appeared to be just routine maintenance, turned out to be a little more serious.

Deputy director and city manager at Grand Bahama Port Authority, Troy Mcintosh recommends avoiding the area if you’re uncomfortable with using a four-way stop.

A technician travels from the capital on a monthly basis to carry out scheduled maintenance.

But Mcintosh says they are open to training young Grand Bahamians looking to join their team.
