ACKLINS, BAHAMAS – A convicted killer has lost a bid to reopen his appeal.

Marvin Edgecombe is serving a 20-year sentence for manslaughter in the 2017 fatal stabbing of his friend David Hanna in Acklins.

The Court of Appeal dismissed Edgecombe’s appeal against conviction and sentence in 2023.

But Edgecome asked for a do-over after claiming that his previous lawyer didn’t do a good job.

The request was denied because appeals are only reopened in exceptional circumstances.
