Cooper: Cruise Travel Increasing

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Tourism Minister Chester Cooper encouraged by the rise in cruise ship visitor arrivals, this as the Port of Nassau saw five cruise ships in port at one time last week, for the first time since cruise lines suspended sailing in 2020.

 



Tourism, Investments and Aviation Minister, Chester Cooper, expecting the holiday season will ring good news for the tourism sector, with December projections mirroring about 95-percent of 2019’s pre-pandemic numbers.

While Cooper says the Nassau Cruise Port project will undoubtedly enhance the tourism product – he calls on Bahamians to do their part for tourism.

Cooper called the state of some downtown properties embarrassing and says it’s his hope to meet with property owners to drive the message home.
